Very good nice and quiet Positive: Easy access to the town Negative: Up ladder to beds

Great, but read if you have small children Positive: The beds were comfy, the apartment attractive, the location brilliant (Waitrose 5m walk, town 20m walk). We felt very relaxed... once the kids were in bed. Kitchen adequately equipped. Big south facing window wall looks lovely. Secure. Nice for a one night stay. A little hard to find but clear check in instructions provided. Negative: Only some minor things that other guests might like to be aware of. Though suggested as suitable for families this apartment (Southview) is a challenge with a toddler. The ladder to the mezzanine bedroom was great for our 8y old, like a treehouse, but our 2y old shot up it fine, but couldn't turn round to descend backwards as safety requires. So he couldn't sleep up there, and we couldn't sit down while he was awake as he needed to be retrieved from the ladder constantly. Also the shower was a bit tricky for any child too young to shower independently as signage says you can't have door open in the small bathroom while showering which makes it a bit tricky to assist them in the space. Generally, and this is minor, Teabags provided but no coffee. Shower was not spotlessly clean to hotel standard, grout needs a good bleach and gunk in screen door slides. No shower gel /toiletries in shower dispensers. Wine glasses had lipstick on them. Mezzanine bedroom was extremely hot (understandable given the apartment). There is a fan in the double bedroom downstairs wardrobe, FYI, but you'll likely need to carry it up the ladder.

Great little apartment Positive: The location was perfect, the canal is situated right outside the property with a lovely walk into the city centre. The accommodation was inside an electric gate with carpark and a lovely seating and bbq area. The apartment was lovely with balcony doors which opened wide. Everything you needed even a washing machine. Negative: Need a fan in both bedrooms as we were south facing it was really hot in there so much so we had to leave the balcony doors open all night which attracted moths and bugs in🫤 having said that we had a brilliant time and I have fallen in love with Chester and can't wait to return

Positive: Excellent location. Very clean Safe gated parking Negative: The weather admittedly was very warm which meant that it was too hot in the mezzanine area. Air conditioning or an effective cooling fan required
